I hold a Master’s degree in Critical Gender Studies from Central European University, Vienna. My research focuses on sexual consent and the politics of intimacy in Lahore, Pakistan, with a particular interest in how socio-cultural norms, legal silences, and emotional labor shape everyday negotiations of consent. I am committed to feminist qualitative research that centers power, subjectivity, and lived experience—particularly in South Asia. My broader interests lie at the intersection of gender, emotion, policy, and justice. I am especially invested in work that remains rooted in context, sensitive to lived realities, and critical of decontextualized or overly Westernized frameworks. I aim to contribute to decolonial and situated knowledge that challenge dominant narratives while making space for relational, locally grounded feminist thought. Still finding my voice as a scholar, I’m eager to learn, collaborate, and co-create knowledge that is contextually rooted and politically conscious.
